Ebikes are great fun, they are also practical, and believe it or not they can help you get fit.

We started on this Ebike journey after watching our bikes become "vintage" as we aged and our bikes collected dust. Rather than donating our bikes, we thought wouldn't it be great to get out and ride again, but realizing we had had lost a step or two over the years we knew that we couldn't physically climb the same hills, or travel the distance we covered in our youth. Until now, adding an electric motor assist allows you to climb hills and travel distances that give young people second thoughts. You can't help but smile after saying "on your left" to a young athlete as you overtake them with your Ebike.

It is also up to you with this kit how much assist you use, so you can control how much effort you want to put in. When you first start riding your new Ebike you may want the motor to help you as much as possible, but as you pedal you will get stronger, so the more you ride the less assist you'll need and the stronger you will get. But on the days where you just don't feel like pushing it, or you don't want to get sweaty you can turn the assist back up and take it easy -- you are in control.

Bonus: Ebikes are green! Depending on your commute, you may even start Ebiking to work. This will save you money at the pump, help the planet and your health. You can also recharge your battery while you work so you can zip home on full assist and not be late for dinner.

We did a lot of research on our Ebike journey and this site aims to share the knowledge we gained, and make the process of getting more great people out on their bikes easier.  Our goal is to answer questions like: How do I make an Ebike?  How do I convert my bike to a mid-drive? We hope you find this site helpful, and we hope to see you out on the trail. Have fun and be safe.
